Just dropping by with a post for my second week as Guest Designer for the C.R.A.F.T. challenge blog. Our theme this week is:
We would love to see some of your projects that might feature all those wonderful Christmas images you might not have gotten a chance to play with. To be eligible to win one of THREE prizes, follow the challenge theme and upload your entry into the C.R.A.F.T. challenge Inlinz by Wednesday, January 23rd! For my entry, I colored up a rubber stamp, “Time Together” by Lili of the Valley. I have had this image for awhile and I just love it, but never got the chance to color it up until now. The image is colored with copic markers and Spica pens.
I had another mishap while embellishing the card… seems I am on a a roll these days…the Martha Stewart red and gold tinsel glitter that I intended to use on the “fire” spilled out of the bottle all over the previously glued parts of the image, and I mean a ton of it! I was able to use a tweezer to remove most of the pieces of foil tinsel from the image but it “stuck” all over my holly on top of the mantle.. yikes! I am such a “bling” girl that after taking the excess off, I kind of liked it!
The dp is Bo Bunny’s “Father Christmas” and the lace and velvet ribbon is from The Ribbon Girls. My sentiment is from an acrylic stamp set with no name! The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and circle die cuts from Spellbinders. Pearls from Recollections. The mantel is coated with Glossy Accents as I wanted the fireplace to “shine” – in my fantasy, it is a marble fireplace!! The metal corner is from Michaels.
Please take a look at what the Design Team has created to inspire you! Have a great day and thank you for your kind comments!
I will be entering this card in the following Challenges:
Come and Get It- Tie a Ribbon Around It
