Dog-Gone Mojo!

Hello All!  It seems like forever since I posted a card! I seemed to have lost my “mojo” a few months back and then “life” had a way of taking over so there was little time to create… and when I did have time, nothing seemed to click!
So what do you do when you lose your mojo??? Seemed everything I touched ended up in the garbage.  So, I took the pressure off and just “played” and waited for my muse to return- LOL! I switched gears and knit a ton of silk scarves, crocheted a baby sweater and little girl’s dress (which I gave as gifts), and even learned Tunisian crochet!  I took several jewelry making classes, and even created my first ever real flower arrangement at a local library class. I then made lots and lots of ceramic art coasters. …Hmm, maybe my mojo never left after all. Maybe it just wanted me to play with “other” toys!

Eventually I had to face them- my dreaded copics- and we mutually agreed to make friends! I revisited my manuals, books, video tutorials, pinterest inspiration and took some online classes. I turned to my design teammates and the amazing work on blogs and facebook sites for inspiration, and before I knew it, I was “feeling it” again!
Recently, I came across this adorable little rubber stamp, “Dr. Autry” from A Random Fan and I got back to coloring and making cards. She is available on ETSY  as a digi stamp, but I bought and used the rubber stamp HERE at Quick Creationz!  Using Alyce Keegan’s Kit & Clowder Copic classes, I used this adorable image to practice coloring hair!
Here she is just as I finished coloring her and was trying to match up papers! Isn’t she adorable?

And here is the finished card…
The design paper is from LOTV’s Nit Wit 8×8 paper pad, “Perfect Pair”.  I just love this paper pad!  I layered the dp with Bazzill cardstock and a square doily.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaf die is from Cheery Lynn Designs. I believe the nesting dies are from Quickcutz.  Last, but not least, Create with TLC on Artfire never fails to provide a digi sentiment that fits any occasion and “Under the Weather” Vintage image and Sentiment set worked perfectly!!

Another close up, this time with her “glitter” and Glossy Accents on her glasses ..

That’s it for now. Thank you always for your kind comments. I would LOVE to hear what you do to find your “mojo” when it goes wandering!  For me, it means time to play in another playground, learn more and get playing outside that box!  Have a great weekend!
