It’s a Bingo Challenge at A Creative Romance

Happy Friday!  Today begins another challenge at A Creative Romance. The Chic Crafters are following Jen’s “Bingo” Game and we hope you will play along!   Before we get started, we want to welcome Sheri to our great team. Woo Hoo!

For my card, I selected a Mo Manning image, “Little Mermaid Kailani”.  I have been soooo done with winter that I wanted to play with an image that reminded me of the beach, the sun and the ocean!  (Just heard that we are getting another 10-12 inches of snow on Monday, and I can tell you I am not happy about it!)

I colored this mermaid with copics and polychromos pencils.  The design paper is from LOTV, 8×8 paper pad, “Beach Bliss”I was taken with Mindy’s mermaid on her card here, and thought to try doing something similar… think I need more practice!  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearl trim and burlap are from my stash.  The die cuts are from Marianne Designs- Decorative Elegance Die.

I coated the rocks and water with glossy accents and Diamond Dust glitter. The background is done with Chalks and TH Walnut Stain distress ink. The sentiment is from LOTV.  I stamped it, crumbled it up and then distressed with Walnut stain ink. I bought the metal floral embellishment online and added a pearl to  the center of the flower and in different sizes around my image.

Remember to head on over to A Creative Romance and check out the divine inspiration from my teammates.  In addition to being selected as one of our Top 3, one lucky winner will win a voucher for one of my favorite stores, Live and Love Crafts!

Well, that’s all for today. I have sadly been bitten by the “flu” bug so the past two days have not been the greatest.  Again, forgive the pics if they are dark, my photo tent lights still have not arrived! Thanks for stopping by and for leaving your kind comments.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafts4Eternity- Texture
Sister Act Card Challenge-  Anything Goes
Stampin for the Weekend- Sparkle and Shine
Inspired by Stamping- Flowers
Ruby’s Rainbow- Texture
Shopping our Stash- Heavy Metal
