I have been drawn to Crafts and Me stamps from the time I first began to blog, in fact, my very first blog post featured Crafts and Me stamp, Little Mermaid, below. I also posted a few other favorite images that were fun for me to bring to life! If you want more info on any of the cards below, just click on the title and it will take you to the post!
For my post this week on the Crafts and Me blog, I colored up a rubber stamp, Robin Pushay’s “Just a Little Love.” I am a lover of all things mermaid and under the sea, so this was fitting for me to choose. This little mermaid is colored with copic markers and spica pens on Make it Colour Blending Cardstock. The image is colored using the “feather blending” technique. (YG99.97.95.93, 25, 21 and E35, 33, Y17, 15, 11, 01/ Hair E25, 29, 50 and Skin E000, 00, 21, 11 & 13))
The design paper is from my stash. I believe it was from a box of “favorite K & Company” papers. Too bad the photo doesn’t show the vibrant green in the paper… I was in the mood to work with black with this image, so I incorporated die cuts from Marianne Creatables Dies, Decorative Elements and Garden Branch, and they actually accented the flourishes in the design paper. I think the Decorative Elements dies look like undersea flora. I also placed some Recollections Bling on a Roll pearls under the black tulle which hopefully created a “bubbles” look- I love them underneath the netting rather than on top. Last I added some black/rhinestone lace trim and a clear stamp sentiment from Pink by Design.
I hope you will visit the Crafts and Me blog and take a peek at the newest stamps featuring beautiful digi and rubber images from Sweet Pea, Hannah Lynn, Lemon Shortbread, Sara Burrier and Molly Harrison, to name a few. There are lots more for you to see HERE.
If you are inspired to join us, our current challenge is “Charmed, I’m Sure (Add a Charm)”. One lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a clear stamp set, dies and ribbon from Marianne Designs! You may also be one of our “Top 3” winners… Hope to see you there. Thanks always for your kind comments. I will be entering my card in the following challenges:
