Happy New Year! This should be my second post today… Lucky me to have the opportunity to be first to wish everyone the best of health, happiness and creativity for the New Year! If you are like me, you are probably ready to crash right now from all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. I loved spending time with family and friends but I am ready for some down time right about now, so this will be a short post!
Today begins another great “Anything Goes” challenge at 7 Kids College Fund. The design team, however, thought it would be fun to add a “white on white” twist to their inspiration cards! Seems most of us could not resist adding some color! I did create another Pinterest board for “white on white” cards HERE so if you are inclined to play along or experiment with that theme, you will certainly find inspiration there.
For my card, I moved away from 6″ square card and started with a 5×7 base card. From there I let the dies do the work!
May This Be the Grandest Year Yet- 7 Kids College Fund Anything Goes Challenge
I matted the base with white cardstock and some pretty blue snowflake dp from an old Die Cuts With a View paper pad. Then I layered Spellbinders Resplendant Rectangles, Floral Ovals and Labels 7 dies on top. I always wanted to use the Labels 7 to make a little book and on it I stamped a sentiment that I thought was perfect for my New Year wishes to all. All the dies are available at 7 Kids College Fund store (see links below).
The flowers are from Prima and the pearl flourishes are from Recollections. The shabby seam binding ribbon is among my favorite embellies from Live and Love Crafts. I sprinkled some Glamour Dust and added some Diamond Stickles on the flowers and Close to My Heart Sentiment. Behind it, I stamped some script with Stormy Sky ink. Last, all edges are distressed with Stormy Sky distress ink pad and blending tool.
I hope to have inspired you to join us for our “Anything Goes” challenge. Remember the winner of the $20 Gift Certificate must use a stamp from the store but all are welcomed to enter for our Top 3 awards!
That’s all for today. Once again, thank you so much for supporting my blog and taking the time to leave comments or just to say hello. I look forward to another year of fun, friendship and inspiration! Have a great day.
