Happy Friday. While I have been away from blogging for a bit, I have not stopped creating, learning and playing with fabric, paper or fiber. I have been busy creating custom orders for special occasions and have been blessed to have such wonderful people who support my work. The rest of the time I am loving learning new things… I am taking more quilting and embroidery classes, sewing new things and just immersing myself in all things creative. This week, I decided to stop hoarding my imported papers and took out my beautiful sentiment stamps from Quiet by Design and play with a card suitable for any occasion that celebrates love. An anniversary, wedding, shower.. And yes, today marks MY 34th wedding anniversary… after this post we are heading to our favorite restaurant to celebrate us!
On to my card…
For my card, I chose to stamp a favorite calligraphy stamp by Quiet by Design. They are unfortunately no longer available but are among my favorite sentiment stamps. This sentiment was stamped with ombre ink. The papers are also among my favorite imported papers by Pion Designs. I love to use them in my work.
I die cut several layers of what looked like “doors” to me with the coordinating 6×6 Pion design papers. On top of the layers, I embellished with a Prima Gemstones , pearls, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and crushed silk ribbon. Last I tucked chipboard heart by Reneabouquets behind the sentiment.
This card is available in my ETSY shop. Thanks for stopping by, and as always for your kind comments. Have a great day.
