Our first real snowfall arrived this weekend. Thank goodness it was a weekend – hopefully you too could stay home, light a fire and enjoy it from the inside! I am not liking the cold and snow – hate driving in it, too. So I guess my longing for warmer weather and flowers found its expression in this card!
For my card today, I am “thinking Spring”. Once again, I used one of my favorite Sugar Nellie stamps, Rosie, that I purchased from Funky Kits. I made this card for a special birthday girl who is an angel in all ways!
The pattern paper is a new one from Die Cuts With a View called Chateau Lavendar that I saw first on Becca Feeken’s blog, Amazing Paper Grace, and then found in Joanns- on sale, too! The paper is just beautiful and there is a 12 x 12 matching solid cardstock pad as well, although I used Bazill Bling and PTI cardstock here. Rosie is colored with copics- lots of V’s and BV’s. E13, 11, 00 and R20 for her skin and E29, 25, 31 and 50 on her hair. I used pink spica pens on her belt and hairpiece.
Rosie’s dress and sandals are embellished with ivory Viva Decor pearl pen. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and some from my stash, pearl flourish from Prima and sentiment from Stampin Up. Both her rose and the sentiment feature a swarovski crystal from Michaels. The flowers and her wings were embellished with Deco Art Glamour Dust/Stickles Diamond Glitter glue.
