Say “I love you” with a beautiful handmade greeting card, shabby chic style! This card is not only suitable for Valentine’s Day but for any occasion for which you want to express love!

The card features a canvas heart that I painted with gesso and embellished with mulberry paper flowers, imported lace and appliques and wire pearls. The heart is attached to design papers from Lemoncraft and embroidered lace. The inside of the card features additional papers from the collection and a simple pocket decorated with a small wooden heart.

As a unique addition, I have included inside the card a glassine envelope that contains TWO SEED PAPER HEARTS- shaped “EARTH PAPER ” which is a handmade paper that contains WILD FLOWER SEEDS. Your recipient can plant the seeded paper (directions included on little tag) in a little planter and in a few weeks will be able to have beautiful wild flowers that can be transplanted to the ground. What a great way to welcome Spring or mark that special moment!

My son made the “My Eclectic Spirit” card stand for me for Christmas and I could not wait to use it for my next post!!
